Got my 100 moving and grooving for the first time in years thanks to some advise from Matt this morning. Went to town to get a tire and tube for it and put that on along with a fuel shut off. She's a fine machine, really was nice to see it travel on it's own.
Amazing that these old tractors can sit for that long, and with a "little" work their up and running again! And you take a five year old throw away mower, and just throw it away!

As i was told by the P O this was a replacment seat from IH made for the O 70 100 71 72 73 . Becase of the way they broke in the center as it has 4 bolts that hold the seat on a plate and a single bolt in the middle , like the pan seats .

Well today was a very sad, sad day.. The CC's and all the attachments got tucked away for the winter. It's nice having two garages, until you see how much the CC "stuff" has grown in the last year..Think I'm going to have to expand :biggrin2.gif:

Guys! This model 86 CUB wideframe was in very bad shape when we brought it home. It was painted everything under the sun including camo. We pulled it out of a small storage shed with the pick up truck. It had things welded on all over the place, including four trailer hitches in various locations. So the black paint was a quick cover up for grandson Mike to take it to a tractor pull this spring. He pulled 46 feet and had a great time.
Today I used the 86 to haul a wagon with fire bricks from the campfire pit.
Yea I Know it has a Craftsman seat on it too
But I really like how this Cub starts and purrs like a Kitten once warmed up. Open exhaust sounds gooood!
It had a stuck valve when we brought it home. and after a few hours we had it running. Also lots of rust in the tank that we are still dealing with too The steering wheel has been removed and re-attached with three 1/4-20 bolts holding it on. Fenders were cut in several places.......
With the chains on it does a good job in the mud. The clutch is getting weak. I pulled a fairly good sized tree with it this summer.
This tractor came with a snow plow, which still has a trailer hitch mounted on it too.
I just cant see these being left to rot away I guess I would like to save them all. I didn't pay much for this tractor cause it wasn't worth much! But I do know it takes a lot of time, work and money to bring them back after they have been mistreated like this one was. So we just get it back going again and have some fun with it. Wife, Cheryl likes to run this one around the yard too.

No pics, but I got my leaky rear end fixed on the 982. Took about 4 hours to get the brakes & tranny linkages connected with new cotter pins, refill tranny, re-install the rear pto and cat 0 3 pt, replace 1 relief valve, and get all the sheetmetal back in place. Took her for a ride and all is well, although I need another qt of hytran. Also picked up and installed new shear bolts on the 450 blower and adjusted the skids. The 1862 is almost ready for snow!

I bought one today! a 125 with hydraulic lift and snowplow with a brinly hitch and a 48 in deck for 250.00 pretty good deal I thought !! and a parts 125 for 100.00 with a 48 in deck and a 42 in parts deck for my 104
