Finally got the right mule drive belt on Friday. When we got back yesterday from a weekend camping I put it on the tractor and made a few swipes along the easement behind our property. My son wouldn't leave me alone until he got to mow so I relented and he mowed about a half an acre for a neighbor.

The PTO needs some adjustment and I think the mule drive is going to require a rebuild but otherwise, so far so good with our 23 year old "new" tractor.

Looks like I'll be in the yard again this weekend. Our leaves have started to fall. I enjoy the seat time though. :biggrin2.gif:

Yes THANKs,

Using the foot rest from my 109 for the + end, its just bubbling away got about a inch of froth floating on top. Looks nasty.

It will be interseting to see the results on Tuesday.

That will be a total of 24hrs. for cooking.

Nik,

nikster-

Just replied to your PM...and for the benefit of anyone else reading, don't use your footrest or anything else you care about for the sacrificial metal connected to the positive terminal, as that piece gets eaten away.

Got the auger painted today and went to take tank and carb off 71 and decided to take off some of the shroud to clean up engine. Will rebuild carb tonight or tomorrow and replace tank/shrouds with refinished ones.

Lightbulb 71 clutch cover

Looks like you have a "solid" clutch cover. I did not know they came that way. Mine of course has holes all about it. Now that I got some work done to it, I'am gonna bolt up the new painted spacers and run the duels for the weekend.

Everything before the 72, 1x4/5 should have the solid clutch cover.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
