This is as close to finished product as it gets. Waiting on backordered decals for deck, and a few bolts to touch up with yellow paint. Other than that it's done. Wheel seals weren't hard at all. But I guess since I started with a scrap pile any thing I do to it from now on should be easy. Thanks to everyone who followed the thread and commented. I will restore another in the future, but this one will always be special to me

Getting ready for Its maiden voyage. The Dickson county old timers day parade. Just got back and had a lot of fun. If people pointing at it is a good sign, then it's all good. Lots of oohs and aghhhs.

there was a guy on the other tractor forum that I frequent that parted out a 102 just on account of a mangled keyway for the PTO, myself I'd have pul;led the crank and taken it to have another keyway cut into it, but different strokes I guess... IDK what he may have left of it... might be of help on your redo...

Not sure yet, but think I'm gonna fix the 104 first. Thanks for the info. I'm back to needing a deck for the 102, with deck hanger and mule drive. I robbed the hood ornament, other than that it's pretty much all there. I'm sure it'll need a few things here and there tho

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
