Picked the paint up today. Went to the PPG dealer and brought the shift cover along for a scan. The standard federal yellow is just, well, to yellow.
Anyway if anyone is interested in the correct color for these tractors it comes out to be a standard Chrysler color.   image hoster  imgurl

I had the same problem.. my local PPG mixed some Federal Yellow for me a while back and it just wasn't quite right.. Kind of bright yellow.. needed a hint more orange or something I will have to try the Chrysler color.. let us know how it comes out!

Interesting Todd. The white that I picked up at my PPG guy was for a 1959 Chrysler/1972 GM fleet white. He got that from the DuPont paint code number because the PPG code listed isn't any good. What the heck is going on with todays paint? I'm not sure how close it is yet but I'll find out soon.
