IMAG0596.jpgI finally found our next prodject! I traveled last weekend to MI from Iowa to pick up our newly bought 1872 I found on Craigs list a couple weeks ago. Don't know much about it yet havent had a chance to get it off the trailer yet we need to clean up a few things we have going at this time. Guy said it ran good but when I arrived he couldnt seem to get it started and it's kind of bothering me a bit not really sure what I may have gotten myself into but will post more when we get it off the trailer. Looking for a 54" blade if anyone has one for sale. I also have two sets of rear tires for this for sales as well.

Nice find on the Super. We have enough members here that know quite a bit about those things to help you out.

Place an add in our Wanted section for the blade:

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
