They will need machined to fit. They are also the cheapest that I could find on the 5/8 splined couplers too.

Jason, I don't have a real clear picture but it looks like 1 7/8" or 2". I can't tell from the picture I have but I will pull my spare tomorrow and measure it for you.

I know the CV is the way to go but I have too many to convert and haven't had a rag fail yet. Someday when I get a lathe, I'll be converting.

Check out Cub123 post near the top of page 9. ( post 83 ) It shows both adapters.

I'll start on the engine adapter for you.

Jeff
All that is left is to TIG weld the coupler to the hub on the pump adapter. The Kubota engine adapter is finished.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
