The lights rock! For around them I would sheet metal and cut around the lights. I would leave a slight air gap between the lights and sheet metal.

A bit less of a air gap. May 1/16 or so.

Why don't you try using a piece of door edge guard for around your headlight cutouts? Black would look good and it bends easy and would fill in the gap.
So far its lookin pretty good!

Just need to paint the lift motor, hood, and then start working on the mower deck. Think I'll take a spin around the yard this morning before I head off to work.
Thanks for all of the great suggestions everyone!
Oh, and I have to qualify something I said in an earlier post:
The Majik paint in the quart cans, sprayed through a paint gun with reducer and hardener is fantastic. The Majik paint in the pressurized spray cans is horrible. Has almost no hardening agent in it. Sprays on thin and watery. If you use it, plan on spraying several thin coats with lots of dry time in between. I had to bake mine to rush the drying and even then it wasn't hand slick for hours and hours.

Looks great and I see no snow so time to cut the grass. You'll have to adjust the hydro linkage.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
