Simple. take the adj stop off and save it for mowing.
If you lengthen your arm, it will add depth but limit up-travel.
?....does this type add on hyd lift have a float option??

Seems in the all the way down position it's about 1/2 inch from the ground, so do I need to make a longer lift rod, or am I missing something here?
The bracket that holds the ram and move it forward to the next set of holes. Next remove the height adjustment that bracket (I think that's the correct word) to allow the ram to go farther forward. If that doesn't work you'll have to make a new lift rod.

Well explained Duke, but a little late(I didn't turn the computer on till tonight)
I cut an extra lift rod I had and added an inch to it, seems good to go. What I did was looked up in the tec. section about using the 2x4 method.
Drove the tractor up on four 2x4's and lenthened the rod. Seems fine.
Seeing I was at it, I also put the rear wheel weights on and the tire chains, man was that a bear getting those chains on
I think it's now ready for whatever we throw at it.

Todd.
I would drill another hole above the hole where the lift rod is now.Normally you put the rod in the top hole but that is used for installing the bracket to the rockshaft arm.

If you would Lew, then I will to, closer to the top hole or bottom, center?

Todd,

If you go to the tech section and look at the blade and hydro lift install it tells you the size hole but not where it goes. But I would drill it closer to the top hole.

OK Lew, will do.
Then I'll try my original lift rod back in it.
Thank you

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
