Progress pic. Top engine tin on temporarily; need to pull PTO and replace oil seal. But it's getting there.
My TSC has started carrying a polyurethane fuel line. I've bought similar at O'Reilly's before (by the foot) and it was kind of pricey. But this stuff was just over $6 for 5'-0", which wasn't too bad. They also sell the thicker, rubber fuel line in packaged 2'-0" lengths. A 5'-0" length would do (2) tractors, so I'll have some to spare. Link to fuel line herer: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/pr...e?cm_vc=-10005 Will continue wiring up the front and rear lights over the weekend. It's supposed to rain cats and dogs.

Replaced the PTO-side engine seal and got the PTO clutch on properly (thanks ol'George and others).
Got the final wiring done for the front and rear lights. I never was a fan of the color coded plastic ends of electrical connectors. Ended up pulling them off and using shrink tubing for all the connections. Turned out nice. Had to make a couple gaskets for the rear taillights. Turned the key and got lights! Can even hear the service minder running. Thanks Roland for the wiring diagram for the M18 into a 782; seems to be working great. Went ahead and put on the hood and side panels. It's starting to look more like a 782 every day.

Very nice job. I especially like the dash repair and the hubcaps. Now , go get some dirt on it. Speaking of which, where are the hubcaps?

Actually got to ride on this 782 yesterday. First time it's moved on it's own power since I bought it last summer.
Tranny was smooth. Engaged PTO and killed engine, so have a wiring problem. Also, the hydraulic lever engaged the cylinder, but wouldn't let it go back the other way. Not sure what's going on there. Need to get these things resolved, put the finishing touches on this and set it aside (other projects).

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
