Very nice Gary. Your making wish I had bought that off Jeff, . Looks like it does a great job, those 7hp do a great job. A really nice 73 popped up around here today for a good price, go figure they always show up right after I tap out the cub fund . Oh well the'll be others.

Have to go back and see when exactly you got the 127! I've had the 73 for a while, but kept it hush hush.... but not as long as your 73. Now if I had AGs all around (which you know I want!). Then there might be some copying!

Minion - Don't even get me started on attachments.... I got a 3point for the 127 that I need to get primed/painted, but I think I like the no fender look. Hydro pump... that would be sweet.

I think the 73 is going to be visiting the Haban before long...

I know, I got mine last May too... I can't remember if it was 1 or 2 weeks before Memorial Day weekend.

Well I got 2.5 hours of mowing in with the 73 this morning. Again, the little 7HP purrs right along. I managed to bog it down a couple times in some stuff around a foot high, but she kept on going. I've got a few pics I'll get up later. Did I mention I love that 38" deck???

Some observations...

- the 73 has the turning radius of an aircraft carrier compared to my GT2544 that I'm used to! No complaints though.

- Hydrostatics have spoiled me as far as "speed and efficiency" goes. I would hate to think if I ever had a ZTR. But it's cool using the clutch. Old school!

- I had 3 people stop and gawk up in the sub-division where I live. Mega old school points there. One old guy was telling me they had a cub growing up, he thinks it was a 70 or 71. His dad got a '65 Mustang and the cub on the same day. He took a lot of slack from the neighbors for being a "high roller"!

- the clutch has some kind of rattle to it at times, when I barely press in on the peddle it goes away for a while, but then comes back... anything there?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
