Default My new "red" windbreaker

Hi all,

I did a little horse-trading this week and came home with a decent red IH windbreaker. It will mount right up to my 1211...I'm guessing it was originally on a 682,782, etc. It needs a tiny bit of canvas work on the front, and I'll most likely strip it down and paint it up this summer. Id like to find a wiper motor for it, as its manual right now. It will definitely be nice to get out of the blowing snow when it comes time to plow or snow-throw

Thanks Eric, and your right it would look great on your 1282 I'll keep my eyes open for another one for ya!! And nope, no "bammers" were involved in the trade, although I did pick up a nice Winchester 1300 Defender on another trade last week I traded a 122 roller for the cab, we both got what we wanted

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
