Default Rewire IHC 782 Repower from KT17 to Mag 18

Hi, not sure if this is the right forum, but new to OCC and would like some help.

I'm repowering a IHC 782 from a KT17 Series 1 to a Mag18. My serial number is 20150594U686135. The engine swap went in fine.

I need help with the wiring harness. The ignition switch is a 725-3026 and the KT17 had two wires, one to the coil and the other to the voltage regulator.

From the old harness I can connect to the middle wire of the voltage regulator.

But, I think I need to install a relay from the ignition switch to the ignition module.
I also have a green oil pressure sensor on the engine.

Here's a couple questions for those of you who have done this that perhaps can help;
1) What type and part number do I need for a relay?
2) can I use my existing ignition switch?
3) is it ok to leave the oil pressure sensor unconnected?

Thanks, Bill

Would either wjduggan2000 or Mr. Bedell send me the same wiring diagram for a M18 into a 782?

My recent 782 purchase (#679037) has a Kohler M18 (#1825206456) in it. Would like to double check the wiring in it to your diagram.

Thanks in advance.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
