found this on a tractor I purchased last fall. some guys get pretty inventive

There's another guy on here that bought an original with the same set up. Takes way more reinventing of the wheel to me to retrofit a CW starter than to just repair or purchase another ccw one. Crazy

apparently this one had rope start, has mag ignition and the rope start backing plate. ser# 127127 so it was near the end of the 70 production run

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
