I believe that is the ECM for the fuel injection. Not sure what the red button is for.

Yes, your 128 is a wide frame, but it doesn't really change anything. I think your going to find that the V twin will put the PTO quite a bit farther forward than it was before. Your going to have to re-design the mule drive or perhaps even make the frame longer. No, you won't be able to use the old mechanical clutch. Besides why would you? Use electric. What do you want to know about it?

The box as I understand it holds the electronics for the fuel injection.

The 126 is not my tractor, it was at a plow day a couple years ago. I thought it was cool so I took a couple pics of it. Yep it's a NF and your 128 is a wide frame. Try Mid West Super Cub for the hub to hook up your drive line.
