Okie that 682 is a CCC Series 1 machine. They were made by Cub Cadet Corp just after IH sold to CCC. That model was made from 1981 to 1985. One unique thing about the machines from that era is they were produced in both IH colors and the red colors. The ones going to the IH dealerships were Yellow and White and the rest were red. It came with a Kohler twin cyl 17 horse engine.

Geez the only thing I guessed at and was wrong. The book did not specify which color went where.

LOL, the way I try to remember it is that all of IH's equipment is red, so the IH dealer's got the red GT's and the standard Cub dealers got the yellow and white.

Actually, IH built the x82 series from 1979 through 1981. CCC built them from 1982 through 1985.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
