Default gas tank thread size ?
First post here and I'm already desperate for help. This will be the first of many questions I have (new to cubs). I need to replace the fuel shutoff on my 65 102, I'm hoping I can swing by home cheapo on my way home and pick up an adapter to go from the tank threads to hose barb but being away from my tractor I have no clue what size threads the tank has. 1/2" NPT ?? also it currently has a hard fuel line that goes to the carb so I need the thread size at carb, or I could cut the hard line and hose clamp to it.

1/8 NPT. Get an actual shutoff valve. I would recommend using copper line and compression fittings. Do not just hose clamp a rubber hose to the end of a copper line, as it will probably leak.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
