LOL, OK, 'nuff said, being a new owner, I'm not partial to the red, although I have to admit they really look good, especially those 982's. I also gather you're really enjoying the process, so good luck and keep posting.... with pics.

Once I had the 2072, I thougth "What the heck!" May as well add all the other "super features" that the 782 lacked. Such as the dual rear brakes, and front hydro ports. But no, niether tractor had tilt stering, pretty straight forward swap. I will need to alter the lines running back to the hydro pump, but no big deal. Biggest drawback now is just finding time to be in the garage, working on it. |

Actually you don't want to alter those lines until they clear the steering wheel tower because the clearance around the prop and rag joint are very tight. Any mods there will make the fit too close for comfort. I altered them after they went into the control tower and then you have lots of room and can line up the fittings without any problemo!

Hello. I just posted a new topic asking for info on a transmission control rod for a 1572. Looking at your picture of your 2072 (second one) I can see the control rod appears straight. I have what appears to be a bent one. Can you confirm that the rod ( the one that goes to the brake) is indeed straight? Thanks... Bob |

Spent a little time rectifing some defects in the power steering pieces. (I made them RED LOL)

It's just the feed and return lines to the hydro. The ones from the 2072 are too long, and the ones from the 782 are configured differently where they enter and exit the "lift" valve. I will need to conbime the two sets , but the splice will be under the tunnel cover. Thanks, it was your upgrade that lead me to do this to mine! ![]() |

Well I'm not sure about you guy's but some times my family requirements get in the way of my projects. My lovely bride has been on a quest to replace the deck furniture, that simple idea has taken some time.
FINALLY got that stuff bought and assembled yesterday morning. Then my oldest son had a crisis with his dirt bike. While changing the oil, hes realized the P.O. had stripped the drain plug, and glued it back in with clear RTV. So naturally dad gets the call. We pulled it apart and installed a heli coil in the bad hole. He is happy now. ![]() The youngest son has a problem with his truck. It too us a little time to get this out; ![]() More to do there. After all of that stuff, I was able to get a little bit of cub time in. The bracket that held the manual steering column in, was in the way of the power steering column. I had to do some surgery. ![]() ![]() It's in now; ![]() Next came the anchor bracket for the steering cllinder, this was in the was; ![]() ![]() I'll relocate it when the fender pan goes back on. After I removed that bracket, I was able to get the anchor bracket installed. ![]() Hopefully I can get more time in on it today? |

I had the same thing happen to my dirtbike. Gotta love aluminum huh? Now its helicoiled and gets torqued to spec everyoil change

Things are looking good! I made one small alteration to my PS ram and that was to turn it 90 degrees inward so that the two hyd fittings were on the inside of the ram instead of the bottom. They looked kind of exposed to me and it was no big deal to rotate them. No matter what you will be happy with it.
