Thanks for the pic! Looks to be a straight ole 782. I was wondering what was up with the hole in the hood as well. At least they did a nice job making the hole and didn't torch it out. Wheel weights and Lew's favorite seat..........

Guy I got it from said it was for a large air filter. Which makes sense being that the hole in right above it.
But for 500.00 delivered I think I did pretty well...cleaned it out today and it looks alot better than I though. Quick question for you guys. I have a Troybilt/Bolens plow 14079 with the sub frame 14078 can i fit this plow with out much modifications? |

@ndre,
I think I saw that one on Craig's List. If I remember correctly, the asking price was more than you paid. Good luck with it. I am down in Westchester County, near Croton on Hudson. I think you are the closest person to me on this forum.

There are two guys on this forum who are not far from you and probably have have just about anything you want/need for the 782.
Post in the wanted section and you should hear from at least one of them soon.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
