He may have gone back threw it, but the last time I saw it he just put rings in it and didnt hone it or bore it. But thats been a few years. Like I said hes a great machinest. He would make the hydro drive couplers for us and did a real nice job. I hope hes doing well now, hate to see he sold his 169. Don Dill more than likely ended up with it. I dont think he had one. He lives in Campabello and has about 300 cubs. He has them stacked up in a shop like in whare house racks. Ive sold him a few over the years.

I thought the 86 was also one of the rarer cubs.

Guess the 169 I have with original muffler and 13 fin block and cozy cab is actually worth something.

Don't feel so bad about paying over $500 for a replacement block after the original engine's balance gears wanted to take a vacation and exited the block.

Was trying to sell it with a bunch of attachments but got no bites so I guess I am going to keep it. Only cub I have left besides one original and 6 GT's.

I have a haban sickle mower I made to fit it, snow thrower, tiller, front blade, 50" deck, brinly plow, brinly disc, brinly cultivator, Chipper Shredder and No. 2 cart. Do need to replace hood hinge and fix headlights. Someday maybe I'll take it apart and repaint it properly. Even has a functioning hour meter and the nealy always missing side shields.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
