We have had a couple of those lights in the shop for a while, can't remember what they came off of.

I think they were just an implement light you could buy at a farm and home center a long time ago.

I am putting one on the back of my 100 with pto when I get it done. It looks "period correct" to me.

Looks like it could be an older 50-60's car/truck fog or driving light, most older tractor lamps that I have seen were almost always painted to match the tractor they were on.

My granddad had an old farmall m that had a rear light that had a three position switch on it, off, on normal light to see implements, and on for a flashing red, used going down the road. I have no idea if it was an actual farmall piece, but it was painted red to match the tractor. It was pretty cool, I would love to find something like it, only smaller (it's lens was close to 6"), to put on the back of my 149.

Hmm I might have to do some more digging into it.

Hmm something else to look into.

Cub had the flashing light for the grote light and one of those would be cool.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
