It may be a little easier if you unbolt the 3 pin driver from the flywheel cup (sometimes this helps and other times not)
I think I have done that, still attached.

it may also help to pull the pin out of the clutch release lever/hanger.

Are these the pins you speak of?

You need to remove the anti rattle springs shown in your pic. They're gonna hold your clutch drive disc to the 3 pin driver. That could be what's holding you up. If you pulled really hard they'd probably fly off, but they may damage the clutch drive disc. The clutch release lever/hanger is on the right in your pic, the pin is at the top of it. Your clutch drive shaft passes through it, if that helps. Good luck!

Why don't you drive out both of the spirol pins in the rear driveshaft coupler and slide the coupler forward and drop the rear of the driveshaft. That should give you plenty of room to slide the whole driveshaft back and pull the motor.
