|  My 1450's first trip out of the garage. 
			
			This may not be the right form for this post but here I go anyway.  Just took the 1450 out for it's first test run.  Not only was this the first trip out but this also celebrated a test of multiple repairs.  A complete engine rebuild, replacement of the PTO bearing, a Hydro Trunion repair, and not to mention many small things like removing nails that were installed in place of cotter pins, not that I haven't done that before but at least the PO could not have used nails that were bigger than the hole.  Anyway, the trip out was to see how she preformed in the snow.  This weekend we were the lucky recipients of 20" of the wettest snow I've seen for a few years.  The 1450 wasn't ready Saturday Morning so I cleared the drive with my other snow blower, (a Snapper) what can I say, smoke em if you got em.  So, when I finally got the 1450 ready to take her test run the only snow I could work on was the deepest that was left.  OH, I forget to mention that when the snow came the temperature was around 38° and by today it had fell to around 7°, Can anyone say heavy and solid snow?  Anyway, after playing with the speed etc. I was impressed with how the QA42 worked.  I think the biggest thing that really impressed me was how the Hydro preformed after filling in the worn trunion, replacing the springs etc. and installing shims on the respective shafts.  Kind of rambling here but just wanting to say thanks to all of you for sharing your knowledge.  At first I thought this 1450 was a lost cause/money pit but now I'm glad I've taking this fork in the road.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
