I'm reinstalling the engine in my 1650 also. Where exactly does the ground cable go?

My quietline grounds have been from a starter mounting bolt to the frame rail of the tractor (NOT the Iso cradle) on the right side ahead of the motor. Yours may be different.. Use star washers to cut into baremetal and make a good ground if you can find some.

There is an additional ground cable on the left side of the battery to the frame under a fender mounting bolt on the left side. (left is as you sit in the tractor) both must be good for the tractor to operate correctly.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
