Kind of Excited.
I was gifted with this 72 Thursday. I couldn't believe it. I was talking with my mechanic shooting the breeze. I asked him how his niece's 71 restore for her 4H project was going. He said he didn't know. Then I asked him if he ever got rid of that old 72 and a 105 he had in a shed for the last decade or so. and he says just last week he GAVE them to the lawnmower repairman in our area. He was cleaning up around the shop and none of his kids wanted them..So he loaded them up and sent them down the road. By the way they both ran when they were parked about 10 years ago. I said you GAVE them away. He says "Why?" I said i was planning on buying one maybe in the next year or two, once i convinced my wife i needed one. Long story short he calls the lawnmower man and says my friend is coming to get that 72. Now I have this 72. Woohoo! but I'm goiing to need some help getting her tuned up. I can see that the gas has turpentined if thats what you would say in the sediment bowl. Any tips on cleaning it up would be appreciated. Also what other models would a compatible seat be found. Thanks in advance.
