old thread, I know, but I am having the exact same problem now,
and I just noticed it too when hooking up the QA42a to my narrow frame 125.
the top of the belt is rubbing on the inside of the grille casting on the right side of the tractor.. the center button of the PTO is also a bit offset from the lever that presses the clutch.

is there a way to align the engine better so it's more centered ??
