Generator bearings 122 cub help please

It seems every time I touch this tractor a big can of worms is opened so I got the generator starter apart and the back bearing is a caged ball bearing. I was able to remove the outer race and the cage out but now the inner race is frozen to the shaft can I apply heat to try and remove it. Also just test fitting the new sealed bearing inner race barely gets on the shaft at the end so is this a pressed on bearing which doesn’t make sense because I will not be able to have it adjust once it’s back together and the front bearing gets past the threaded end and then it stops. Am I better off spending the $$ on a rebuilt or new generator starter which I really don’t want to do

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
