LTX1042KW Loose Deck Belt
I have an LTX1042KW, model 13AG93AS010....deck belt needs replacement.
I've seen others also have this problem. My manual says the deck belt is 954-04060B. But the replacement deck belt given to me is 954-04060C. Everything on internet says "C" version replaces the "B" version. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT! After routing thru all pulleys, it's loose....and comes off the engine pulley with ease. On my previous (with my now broken belt) I had to remove bolts/brackets to get the original belt off. Fortunately, when PTO is engaged, the belt does move the blades and I can cut grass. However, half the time, when I disengage the PTO after it's been running, the belt drops off the pulley under the engine. It's simply too long! A neighbor with exact same mode/problem finally got one from Tractor Supply that works......It's a Husky brand: ½” x 96” Aramid; A94K/47960K; 44-61321 It took him 3 trips to TS to finally get this one that works. Anyone still having this problem?
