Confused!?!??!?!

I've got a 1968 124. Was given to me by a friend. I figured why not for a winter project. After cleaning it all up, I was able to get the thing started by just using jumper cables from another machine to the starter generator. Perfect it runs, time to continue. New fuel tank, bracket and straps, new choke and throttle cable. Well now I install all the parts and now it won't run no spark at the plug or the points. So now I buy new points, plug and wire, new condenser and coil, and new ignition switch as the one tab was broken. And still no spark anywhere. I don't know where to continue now? Please help. Thank you

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
