ports on a gear drive rear end (hydraulics)
Hey guys, you might have noticed that my presence has been lacking here for a while. I've been real busy with seeding, and getting some work done on my 1200. as some of you know, I'm planning on putting a hydraulic system in my 1200. I would be using a small pump, (4-6GPM) to run the lift. I am going to try and use the rear end as a reservoir. I would really like to put a filter on this thing, and I am wondering if there is another "Port" so to say, on the rear end. I will probably use the drain port as a pick up, just plumb a line to the pump. I would like to know if there is another port on the rear end that I could use as a return. that way the oil can circulate, and not over heat, and I can filter all the oil. I know of the fill plug on the rear cover, but that would be pretty hard to plumb a line in with a tiller on it. so, if anybody knows if there is another port, and could shoe/tell me where it is, that would be appreciated.
