Disc, general farming questions
I have gleaned some info from searches but I know there are life long experts here that can answer these questions.
I have a 3 point (homemade) with down force option only, so far as I know. I just wanted to have some implements to play with so found a good deal on a Sears single gang disk in excellent condition, built a sleeve hitch adapter for it to hook to my 3 point. After a couple of attempts I am going to assume that a disc needs to float? Is this correct? (wish I would have paid more attention 40 yrs ago on my uncles farm). As always any wisdom is greatly appreciated, and yes I know I probably need a 8" moldboard to hit it with first but this was the first I found. Running a wf, 782 for the record. Thanks, Vic
