1200 vs 128
I've got a 109 and a 1650, both hydros. I especially like the 1650 steering wheel position, seat/foot rest arrangement, lots of room. A very comfortable tractor.
To my question... I've got a 1200 that I picked up a year or so ago that seems complete, less side shields. Hood and front hood stand over the front axle are removed. Really bought the tractor for the 3 pt hitch on it. However..... Now I'm thinking about digging into it and see if it will run. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the 1200 vs a 128? I've got a 126 which I like, but have more parts, decks, etc for the WF models and maybe I can get this 1200 going or save me some hassle by getting a running 1200 or a 128 instead - if it's a better tractor. BTW - with our irregular shaped/lumpy yard, the 126 in second gear is way to fast for mowing and first gear is slow. Would the 1200 have a slower set of gears in it? Any info on 1200 vs 128 is much appreciated. Thanks! Bill
