What a difference tires make

I was considering selling my 2518 for a vehicle with either a locking diff or 4WD due to lots of slipping on inclines, but decided to give new tires a try. I picked up Carlisle All Trail's in a 23x10.5 which are slightly too wide (the next size down is 23x8). The added width made me have to turn the anti scalp wheel on the outside of the deck which is propping open the chute a little. I have to say the chute propped open slightly really helps with tall and wet grass cutting performance, reducing clumping.

I went out today in the rain on slopes to see if I could make them slip/spin and could not. At either low or high speed they just gripped on all of my problem areas without ripping up the grass either.

They were 200 bucks installed. A lot cheaper than a new tractor.
