149 Starting problems

It has been a long while since I last spent any real time with my Cubs. Darn horses and hockey!

I pulled out the old 149 that has been idle way too long with the hope of using it for snow removal this winter, put in the battery from my lawn cutting tractor and turned the key...NOTHING! Headlights do work when the key is turned on but nothing else.

Any tips on what how best to trouble shoot ignition electrical issues, I'm not to sharp on the electrical stuff.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
