It's all good Ronnie. I wouldn't consider myself a purest per say, that's why it was called a "face lift" and not a restoration. Even at that the correct police had to come in and threaten me with fines and jail time...

That's what makes this "hobby" what it is, each person puts their own spin on their tractors. BUT if it's going to be a "restoration" it best be as it rolled off the assemble floor, or in some cases better... Or the cops will be cruising around your neighborhood.

At least your going to use yours, my "poor" tractor sits dry in the house.

Before I buy a couple of those bits, what brand do you use? I don't want to mess up and get a cheap set. I would like them to last. BTW, I split the tractor last night and got the creeper installed. Now I only have to put all the rest of it back together. Oh, and still have to put my new clutch in.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
