Trip to Maryland part II: Repairs
This is part II of my trip to Maryland thread I'm the General Talk section. I'll post pics of repairs we do to my brothers machines here, as he has all IH built machines.
Today, we decided to tackle some min or fixes to his 127. Front steering was loose. He bought some very good used pieces to repair with, but so far we haven't needed any. Found a broken spirol pin at the pitman arm on the left spindle. Changed it out. Tightened up the nut on the bottom of the steering box and some loose mounting bolts. Tie Rods are shot, but he's going to order him joints from McMaster to repair later. PTO started slipping when he was mowing the other day. Pulled it off and apart. Found it had been rebuilt not long ago. I smacked the spring back into shape, as it had been over tightened and we put it back together and adjusted it properly. We'll test it on the mower later. Not much to take pics of, but I took a few. I'll upload them later. Site keeps giving me a generic err while trying to load them....  Edit: I resized the pics manually.
