Don't call me a traitor.

With Dad's passing, it's now up to me to mow. I have 4-5 acres of grass to mow for mom a hours drive away from my house. Mom and dad would mow the grass with two 42" Poulans. It would take them roughly 12 hours combined time. The wife and I mowed with the 2 Cub 1811's a 44c and 50c. It took 6-8 hours. The next weekend I mowed with the 1811 50c. Everybody fished and rode four-wheelers and I mowed. Not any fun for me, something had to change.
Found me a 2001 61" 25hp Scag turf tiger. First time out I mowed the yard in 2.4 hours. The next time out my son-in-law mowed with the 1811 44c and me on the Scag knocked it out in 2 hours. I can live with that.
I hope to mow during the week after work and leave the weekend for other things.
Don't worry no Cub's are being sold to pay for the Scag.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
