1864 or 2182 and why?
A couple weeks ago , I got on here to ask what new tractor I should buy and you guys steered me away from a new tractor all together. Thank you!
No, I haven't made a purchase yet, mainly because my work schedule hasn't aloud me to take a road trip yet and most of the tractors I want to look at are at least a 2 hour one way, some even further. I have however, done a ton of research since last speaking with you guys and I have narrowed my search based on that and your recommendations. So that being said, Ive decided I'm going to buy an 1864 or a 2182. I've found several candidates of each model in various levels of condition and price. Knowing that all I really want to do is mow grass and possible push or blow a little snow, if you could only have one model, which of these two would it be and why? Id love to hear all the pros and cons of each model and know why one would be better suited for me than the other. I do realize that people may be partial and that's fine, just tell me why your partial. Important factors for me would be the ability to mow well, reliability, availability of parts and be somewhat easy to work on. Thank you ahead of time for any replies. By the way, Ive been all over this site the last couple weeks and this is a really cool place. My wife isn't really liking it since Im already showing her pics and talking about future projects, lol.
