Jonathan is right - the original repair did its thing but is now worn out as well.

I think this tractor was used for snow plowing duty, and used a lot. Having said that, the tranny and rear end functioned well (just leaks), so its known to be good - i.e. worth going through. Parts are on order so it wont be long.

The only thing left on this tractor is the engine, Im trying not to dig into it (only a matter of time, but will tackle that when that time comes)

Next task will be how to clean the housing well enough that paint will stick. (Oh, just thought I should check the internal brake pads while its open)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
