Since this community has helped me tremendously over the past few months, I've decided to give something back best way I know how. I have developed a service for personal use that scans Craigslist every 30 minutes using the search term "cub cadet", and emails me when new results are found. I have decided to extend this service to anyone here that may be interested for the following states: PA,KY,OH,NC,IN,IL,VA,MI . I may be able to add more states later on depending on server capacity. If you are interested in receiving notifications for one or more of the listed states, please send me a PM with your email address and the states you would like to sign up for. I expect the script to be fully operational for all these states by the end of the week.
Fine print : please understand that the script runs every 30 minutes. If there's new results every 30 minutes, you will receive an email every 30 minutes. I only receive a couple emails a day for my area, you may get more/less in your area. The service is run on an inexpensive virtual server. It seems to hold up well, but there may be outages, so 100% accuracy is not guaranteed. The scan interval is currently 30 minutes. This may have to increase if the load becomes too high. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
