If you don't think it's worth it, then don't buy it. Pretty simple. Shoot him an offer that you feel comfortable with. If he takes it, great, if not, move on.

Jonathan, you are right. No Cub is really worth what you pay for. And I will make a statement...169's are overpriced. Period. The only thing that makes them "rare" (and I use that term loosely anymore with these) is that they made 4,005 of them. They are a glorified 149. And that is coming from a guy who has owned FOUR 169's. While 4,005 is low in Cub numbers, they seem to all be surfacing here in the last year or so, due to the word being spread that they might be worth something. So, in my opinion, they should be worth $100-150 more than a good 149.

That being said, I realize that I have been trying to sell one of mine in the 7-900 dollar range, which most probably think that's freaking ridiculous. BUT, when you see collectors like Nick who are willing to pay higher prices for Cubs that are lower production, why should I follow suit to guys that are lower than me? If they want to pay it, let them! I know I wouldn't give that kind of money for one, but, thats me.

That's just my .02 on the deal. If anyone don't like it, tough!

I agree, I know I wouldn't pay through the nose,I will find one eventually and move the decimal point to the left.....

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
