Fallen Fire Fighter...

I was one of the MANY proud firefighters tonight that joined together to pay tribute to one of our own. Over 250 firefighters marched from the Fire Hall in a neighbouring town tonight to the funeral home where a 45 year old Deputy Cheif was layed to rest. I was amazed at the sight of us all marching down the street, three a-breast, full dress uniforms. I'd have to say it was certainly a sight to see - if only it wasn't for something so sad. If I had missed it, knowing what I do now.....I would have been disgusted. To be a part of the group, to pay tribute to a man who gave so much to his community for so long, with no regrets. I have been to my share of wake's and funerals, for freinds, family, and fellow firefighter's spouces....this would be the first for a fellow firefighter in the almost 11 years I have been a firefighter. I can't explain the feelings I had tonight....definately will remember it for years to come!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
