If you want to see a resto in a week
If you want to see a restoration in a weeks time, you can move right on to the next post..... it aint gonna happen here. Think more along the lines of a year (I might beat that, but then again I might not)
BUT, with that disclaimer out of the way I did start on the 1811 today. I picked this up last winter and used it for snow duties.  You can see its in need of some TLC. Now my approach to this isnt to tear it completely apart (yet), but instead to work it one area at a time. This may mean more assembly and disassembling in the long run, but it also means I dont have it laying around in pieces for months on end, which gives me 'some' better chance of remembering how it all goes back together and also keeps me a working tractor in the meantime. The brakes were frozen, so decided to start on these since they are relatively simple and can be bolted/unbolted to work on.  I would like to say they look worse than they are, but no.... they are pretty much just as bad as they look. Pulled them off and disassembled:
