Blew up my 1450 engine

Well, I recently bought a 1450 with a snow blower. The blower is in need of new auger bearings and sprocket so I put a plow on it and it worked really well. That is until I found out the hard way it was consuming oil faster than I thought. My buddy had a 14 horse Kohler I was gonna try but the crank was different. I'm thinking if I'm gonna do anything it's gonna have to be a budget rebuild. Can anyone tell me where I can get inexpensive parts. Definitely gonna need a piston and rod, a cam, and gasket set. The other issue is that the only tag I saw with a serial number on the engine is no longer readable. So will any K321 kit work?
