Need some opinions on this 1450/tiller combo
I came across this a while back and found out it's still available. The price is at $500 for the tractor, deck, and tiller. It's got a new battery and starter and aside from the seat, SEEMS to be in pretty good cosmetic condition. Now for the bad; I haven't looked at it yet so I'm not sure about the motor mounts but I would assume they are original. The other negative is they are getting rid of it because it died when they tried to mow. They say it runs fine but when you turn the PTO on, it dies. What should I check for this, possible fuel or clogged carb jet starving the motor of fuel? This being my first (potential) Quietline, I want to make sure I'm not getting into something that will make me regret it.
They had it priced at $650 but I got them down to $500 (tentatively, that is). I'm thinking even if it needs a bit of work (motor mounts and carb rebuild), it'd be worth it for tractor, rear lift, hydraulics, and tiller. So to me, it doesn't seem like a bad price but what do you guys think? I'd love to jump on this since I will be needing a tiller next year! Thanks for any thoughts/opinions guys!
