UH OH!!!!! I think I have the beginnings of Yellow Fever...

Went to my wifes aunts today to help her husband Rich carry panelling board down into the cellar and when I pulled in,he was working on his new to him JD 318. We looked it over and it has 800 hours but pretty nice overall.That's when it went all down hill. I told him I own my 2 JD'S and my DB walk behind as well as a 1200 Cub.He then says he has a couple Cubs in his outer shed. I'm thinking maybe a newer one so I went along to see. One was a rear motored 85 with a fiberglass looking body which was complete,but needed some care. Then I see a rear engined Snapper,a 112 JD both in nice shape,but that's where it went bad. I looked at a really nice 147 he had that he told me had charging troubles. I am thinking the starter generator but wouldn't count out the repairs to the wiring I seen,as well as the regulator torn apart. He knows I work on Cubs and made the statement he wanted to part ways with the 147. It has wheel weights but I believe either the rear lights were removed or someone added the fronts,but all the wiring seemed correct though. The rear reflectors were stick on but I didn't look to see if the wiring was there. Appeared to have electric lift,but there was some kind of red bracket with a muffler style camp holding it to the lift handle. I told him on the way to the shed I wanted to get a hydro tractor and considered a narrow frame one. He stated that he wants me to come get it and see if I can get it going andhe would decide what to do with it. He also then said it would look good in my garage next to mine and he would know I would take care of it. It starts and runs apparently,but no charging...It needs a new upper dash as the one on it is badly cracked,but the paint looks super...It looks like I may have my second cub real soon..I wasn't expecting this,so sorry no pics yet..
