It's been a busy winter. 6 tractors through the shop. Before and after pics of the venerable 108, a 149, 1650, 1450, 72, and the 123. Some transformations a little more obvious than others, but each entailed engine removal, repairs, (overhaul of the 108's), new clutches, ptos, driveline and steering repairs, tires, seats, fluid and filter changes, two QL cradle mods and iso mount replacements, installed three point hitches on 3 tractors, three sleeve hitches, a spring assist, and a creeper install, and 6 paint jobs with new decals. Plus, two decks (44c and 50A) cleaned and repainted, repainted the #1 Tiller, #1 Cart, and the 54 inch front blade. Whew! I've got to have been CCspecialties' best customer this winter! Final pic is the 1450 final picture. (uploaded an "after" pic without the side panels) sorry, out of order!
I want to give a great big THANK YOU to all the folks here for enthusiastic encouragement, sage advice, your technical prowess, and a bit of humor. I've learned SO much, and found a new avocation among such a friendly group. To show how you've affected me, now I'm thinking about attending a plow day or tractor show if I can manage one. Would like to try that. Maybe I'll even get a chance to meet some of you guys in person!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
