So after bringing the 129 w/loader home 2 days before Christmas I knew it would be a while before I got any seat time ..... Family, Holiday & work obligations are all time consuming.
Well this past weekend I got the time and also 18 inches of snow. I went out and decided to lay in the snow and change the oil before putting any run time on her. With that done it was now time for the fun. YA THINK?? With a small snow, then a thaw, then a freezing rain, the 18 inches we got all fell on glare ice and the Ag tires won't move it an inch and that's with filled tires and 4 cinder blocks & two 16 inch long pieces of railroad track in the weight box. Oh well. I kinda anticipated it would only be better with chains and ordered a set last week ...... just haven't gotten them yet. The dodge ram 4x4 gets me in and out of the 175 ft. long driveway for now and hopefully I'll have the chains for this coming weekend. Well I'm glad some others have gotten some snow time in and I hope to join their ranks soon. I'll post pics when it happens. Have a good day all Tom

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
