I was off reading your posts! And drooling over your fenders. Man you did a nice job on those. Makes me want to re-do mine  Yes our average deer (buck) is about 160 lb. This one field dressed at 130 lb. We see a few that get near 200 lb live but that's rare. Man you are ahead of me in getting your tractor running Regards, Chris

Fuzzy picture update!
Here are some shots of the 147R.
The picture quality is not very good, which works to my favor in masking most of the problems Paint looks too orange in these but is close to IH RED.Question on a 147 Is the headlight panel painted black or a decal is applied? Hope to have the headlights today and will bead blast the aluminum retaining rings to get them cleaned up too. These tail lights are just the marker light version that Jeff replaced on his 149 with the model 82 flush mounts. I think I am going to have to mount the seat solid to the base to get keep the seat slider action from binding and not working when my big but is on the seat. No I dont have a cup holder (yet)! I checked my 147 headlight panel out and it appears to be a silver sticker with black on it and on top of yellow sheet metal. Its mostly black but has spots where it chipped and its silver plastic like. I peeled that off and its yellow painted metal.

Larry thanks. I think I will find some wrinkle paint (do they still make it) and paint the front of the headlight panel black. I did get the head lights today, but did not have time to open the box. o cub work tonight. But I did find some aluminum blocks that I can use as spacers for the seat. That means it will be basically hard mounted. Not sure how this is going to ride? I helped Eric process venison tonight. He started the jerky in marinade and we will grind burger tomorrow night, and start the kielbasi. I was a little worried tonight when I could not get logged on the OCC! Database error again. I went to the maple site which did use V bulletin also, but they just switched to another type database so maybe that will free up some room here I really don't know what I am talking about so never mind.Regards, Chris

head light retainer
Just realized I came up short one headtight retainer. The PO had one light bulb held in with a zip tie. I guess I could do that too!
I have a call in to my cub parts dealer and also my cub parts guy. Thought I had a S/G to engine belt too but cant find that yet either. I did glass bead the one headlight retainer that I do have and it cleaned up real nice! Hope things are good in Cub land. Off to Lowes to find some hardware parts for the lights. Regards, Chris

Found a good used headlight retainer at my Ohio connection for cub parts. $15 seems like a good price. He said these are somewhat hard to find? The new cub dealer said they could order one.
Eric found the, S/G to engine, belt I had squirreled away on top of the paint cabinet, and I will use that to get a new belt at NAPA. Maybe a little cheaper than the dealer? I did get the one headlight bezel re-taped for #10-32 thread in the corner where the missing stud was gone. Then made a new threaded stud from a 2 inch long #10-32 steel screw, by carfully grinding off the head and chasing the thread. I mounted the two chrome/ black bezels with stainless hardware. I am going to leave the headlight frame red. An IH decal will be placed in the middle. Should look OK. That's the plan. Progress has slowed a little due to hunting and getting Eric's deer processed.l Regards, Chris
