I did say some experience, and some opinion... On using the mill I would think you could set up the head using a fixture, then touch off on several places with the end mill to true the fixture/clamp up ? I may be missing something here.
All that said, if the glass works that well then there would be no need to spend an hour setting up the head to mill it... I was thinking using the laser as a poor mans transit.. then again setup time would be blah... I tend to over think things sometimes I reckon looking for a better way to skin the hog.
