Hey guys,
I am more familiar with my older 1x9 hydraulic lift lockout pins and need some help on my 1572. It appears to have similar type lockout mechanism with a plate with a single hole and on pin as per picture below. The implement lift arm has a single hole in it; however, that hole is way to low to 'lock-out' the lift in order to get down pressure as well as lift. Is this possible on the 1572? Is the single hole in the implement lift arm to connect a rod the rear of the tractor for a sleeve hitch? What is the correct way to have the lockout plate/pin installed? Thx in advance

The plate with a pin connects the cyl to the arm and pushes the rockshaft back.The rockshaft can float past the pin if you need down pressure you put a 1/2-13 bolt in the hole that is lower down there is a nut welded to the inner arm to connect it.Most times you do not need down pressure

What would you need down pressure for? Mower deck doesn't need it. Front blade will just bend the left rod if you put down pressure on it. I don't even know why they made it able to be locked.

Jonathan, I was hoping to set up a Sleeve Hitch on the rear and have down-pressure.

Don't need down pressure on a sleeve hitch either. Whatever tool you are using will suck itself into the ground. If it doesn't, either it isn't set right, or the shovels, plow share, (whatever tool you're using) is dull. Plus, you'll bend the little straps on the adapter. Don't do it.....
